I create abstract acrylic paintings, which are a form of recovery art. Some are worked out over several layers. Others are by assigning a feeling to each color and seeing what happens in the chemical reactions.   I usually start all my paintings with words on the blank canvas of any issue I am working on or blessing I am grateful for; others are much deeper and deal with trauma, but then those words are covered up with layers of paint and mixed media to create a beautiful painting with great composition and design making it something of beauty.

In all my work as an artist, I'm seeking to connect with the viewer emotionally. The color palette, use of light, and the ever-changing kaleidoscope of textures that appear in my work are all designed to spark that moment where the work speaks directly to the heart. I find great satisfaction in creating vibrant, contemporary paintings using resin, a medium that's challenging to control and often yields unexpected results. Some aspect of nature inspires each painting. Whether it's gemstones and geodes, stars in the night sky, or a colorful sunset, the paintings serve to link my inner light with yours.
